Design Engineer (m/f/d)

To support our continued growth, we are looking for a qualified and motivated Design Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team.  >

Responsibilities:

  • Design metal detection and X-ray systems, including conveyor technology for custom and series machines
  • Develop prototypes and guide them to production readiness
  • Create 3D models, perform calculations, and prepare technical documentation (e.g., risk assessments, drawings, bills of materials)
  • Select mechanical and electromechanical components
  • Optimize existing assemblies with a focus on technical, hygienic, and cost-efficient improvements
  • Provide technical support to sales for custom solutions
  • Contribute to standardization and modularization efforts
  • Collaborate with sales, purchasing, production, and suppliers — and, when necessary, with customers

Your skills:

  • Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent technical qualification 
  • Experience in mechanical design is preferred
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software (preferably Autodesk Inventor)
  • Knowledge of sheet metal design; ideally also conveyor systems, pneumatics, and hygienic design
  • Experience with ERP systems (handling bills of materials and product data)
  • Basic understanding of risk assessment under the Machinery Directive and technical documentation
  • Independent, structured approach to work and strong team spirit
